Introduction
Each sound source is treated independently on the mixer in the form of ‘channels’. These vertical strips when grouped together are more intimidating. Individually, they are much easier to dissect.
Components
- Input Gain
- EQ (Hi,Mid,Low)
- FX Send
- Pan
- Level Output
Input Gain
Controlling the volume of signal entering the channel.
EQ
Adjust the frequency content of the signal
Hi , Mid & Low knobs control the gain at fixed frequencies.
FX Send
Duplicate the signal to be routed elsewhere. In the case of XENA, the FX send is used to send to a reverb. In other cases FX sends can be used for the artist’s headphone mix.
Pan
The balance of the Left & Right signal
Level
Controls the volume of signal leaving the channel
