Background
The console input section is the entry point for audio into the channelstrip. The integrity of audio signal is determined by this section.
Input Gain
Controls the level of signal of signal. Use the meter to achieve a strong & healthy signal.
Mic/Line
Designate the type of signal
- Mic – uses the preamp for microphone signals.
- Line – a signal that’s already being amplified
Phase
Reverses the polarity of a signal.
Useful when there is mic bleed.
Boost
Additional signal gain.
Phantom Power
Certain microphones require power in order to amplify the signal.
