PolyWAX Native
An eight-voice virtual-analog polysynth, as a plugin in your DAW.
PolyWAX is an eight-voice virtual-analog polysynth. It runs on the WAX Native engine and loads as an instrument in any VST3 or AU host, so your keyboard plays it and your session records it.
Wired into your session automatically.
PolyWAX is an eight-voice virtual-analog polysynth built for immediate, hands-on sound design. Two oscillators, a resonant filter, dual envelopes, pitch and filter LFOs, stereo width, and drive deliver everything from glassy keys and warm pads to analog basses, sharp plucks, and expressive leads—all playable by MIDI or your computer keyboard.
Eight voices, two oscillators.
A classic virtual-analog signal path with every control on the panel.
Two oscillators
Stack and detune two oscillators for keys, pads, basses, plucks and leads.
Resonant filter with its own LFO
Sweep the filter by hand or with the filter LFO. Pitch has its own LFO.
Dual envelopes
One envelope for amplitude, one for the filter.
Stereo width and drive
Widen a pad, or push drive for a harder lead.
Eight voices, MIDI or computer keyboard
Play it from a MIDI keyboard inside WAX, or from the computer keyboard.
WAX Native: no page to load, nothing to route.
PolyWAX runs on the WAX Native engine inside the plugin. On a track, played by your keyboard, recorded by your session.
Browser tab vs. WAX
Stop switching. Start making.
PolyWAX Native in a browser tab
- A browser synth is played with a mouse
- Recording it means routing system audio
- No MIDI from your keyboard or the piano roll
- No automation lane for the filter
- Close the tab and the patch is gone
PolyWAX Native inside WAX
- Loads as an instrument on a track like any VST3 or Audio Unit
- Audio lands on the channel, ready to mix
- Eight voices from your keyboard or a MIDI clip
- Draw the filter sweep on the automation lane
- WAX Pro saves the patch with the project
Its output is the track’s output. Add your own compressor, saturator and bus sends.
Play it from a controller, a keyboard or the host MIDI editor, in time with everything else.
Host automation reaches its parameters, so a build or a breakdown can be drawn on the lane.
Device state travels with the project file. Reopen the session and it comes back (Pro).
Built on the WAX Native engine, so it runs inside the plugin with no external page to load.

Questions
What does PolyWAX cost?
It is included with WAX Pro: $60 perpetual on the launch sale (from $120), or $30 a year. The same license covers PolyWAX and every other app in the WAX library.
Do I need WAX to use it?
Yes. PolyWAX is built on the WAX Native engine, so WAX is the plugin it runs inside. Load WAX as an instrument and pick PolyWAX from the library.
Which DAWs does WAX work with?
WAX ships as VST3 and Audio Unit for macOS 11+ and Windows 10+, so it runs in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One and more.
Can I automate it from my DAW?
Yes. Host automation reaches the device inside WAX, so you can draw a filter sweep or a build on the automation lane like any other plugin parameter.
Is WAX only for synths?
No. WAX is a real browser wired into your DAW, not a single instrument. Drum machines, synths, effects, music services and your own HTML pages load the same way and get audio, MIDI and sync.
